Kuwait’s military forces are actively countering a surge in hostile missile and drone attacks, the country’s army has announced.
In a statement posted on X, the General Staff of the Kuwait Army clarified that any loud explosions heard are a direct result of the air defence systems successfully intercepting the incoming threats.
The military has urged citizens to strictly follow the safety guidelines and security protocols issued by the relevant authorities in response to the escalating situation.

Iranian news outlet Fars reports that a coordinated attack by US and Israeli forces has resulted in significant damage to two residential buildings in Qaleh Mir, a town situated within the Baharestan county, leading to the deaths of at least 13 individuals. Baharestan, a densely populated region in Tehran province, is the site of the devastating incident. According to the Baharestan governor, rescue efforts are ongoing, with crews focused on clearing debris and searching for anyone who may be trapped beneath the rubble.

A thick plume of smoke hangs over the Iranian capital, Tehran, as a result of a recent wave of attacks. The vicinity of Mehrabad Airport is one of the areas affected, with the airport itself appearing to have narrowly escaped a direct hit. Reports indicate that at least 12 cities have been targeted in the past few hours, including Bandar Abbas, where an airport was hit, Ahvaz, Mahshahr, Bandar-e Lengeh, Shiraz, Isfahan, Karaj, Qom, and Kong City. In Qom, the strikes resulted in the loss of five lives, while six people were killed and 17 injured in Kong City. The increasing number of cities under attack and the rising civilian casualties are a grim reminder of the escalating situation.

In a recent exchange, Indian Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar reported receiving a phone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The two diplomats reportedly touched on the current state of affairs, but Jaishankar declined to provide additional details.

Kataib Hezbollah’s leader, Abu Hussein Al-Hamidawi, has cautioned that regional oil and gas facilities will be targeted if the US pursues its threats regarding the Strait of Hormuz. According to a statement carried by Iran’s IRNA news agency, Al-Hamidawi stated that if the US attempts to force open the Strait of Hormuz, “there will be no oil and gas platforms or facilities left.”

Iranian Red Crescent Society personnel have been dispatched to the Iranian capital, where they are working to provide assistance to those affected by a recent US-Israeli air raid. According to a statement posted on X, the aid workers are focusing their efforts on a residential neighborhood that was struck by the attack, with their primary objective being to rescue and support their fellow citizens.
