Traffic has been suspended near Chilas after heavy rain triggered landslides at multiple locations between Boshidas and Bhasha along the Karakoram Highway.
According to authorities, the road has been temporarily closed for public safety, while vehicles remain stranded on both sides of the highway.
Travelers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and wait until weather and road conditions improve.
Due to heavy rains, the Karakoram Highway between Bushidas and Bhasha has been hit by landslides at various places, following which the police has suspended traffic near Chilas.
According to officials, the highway has been temporarily closed for the safety of passengers, while there are long queues of vehicles on both sides.
The administration has appealed to the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and wait till the situation improves.
