Google is working on its GPT software called BARD to rival ChatGPT. The CEO of Google Sundar Pichai writes in a post that Google was working on a language model called LAMDA. Now Google is launching the LAMDA to the testers. Google named this BARD.

ChatGPT created a new hype and users are now turning to this new chatbot which answers almost all questions from programming to business and finance. It also creates essays, articles, lyrics, poetry, letters and business proposals. Open AI released ChatGPT in November which Microsoft funds. Later on, Microsoft announced that they are also working to integrate ChatGPT with Bing a search engine that is not popular. This created a threat to the biggest search engine Google. Google may face a significant threat in the coming years. The user’s inclination towards ChatGPT forced Google to accelerate work on their language model LAMDA.

Although generative AI is not a novel concept, ChatGPT’s training data is massive, which enables it to respond to any questions. AI software operates by utilizing Machine Learning (ML) algorithms referred to as models. These models are trained with a lot of data and tested for accuracy. The more data used for training, the higher the accuracy rate. These models are initially used for academic research. OpenAI has worked to apply them for commercial applications. The era of Artificial Intelligence has just begun. It can change the way we use the internet, computers, drive cars, use mobiles and more.
