Hyderabad: Three Children Killed by Electric Shock at Wedding Celebration

In the Phulali area of Hyderabad, three children attending a wedding ceremony were fatally electrocuted. Police said the children, aged 10, 12 and 14, were sleeping on a house roof during a relative’s wedding when high‑voltage power lines running above the roof delivered a lethal shock. Two of the deceased were brothers. A HESCO spokesperson confirmed that the deaths in Phulali subdivision resulted from electric shock; the wires at the scene were intact, indicating the children were either too close to the lines or touched them. The spokesperson added that illegal constructions have placed power lines dangerously close to roofs and walls, and residents of Tando Tayyab have previously received notices about this hazard.
