The Ghizer–Shandur Road (GSR) has been closed once again at Yangal after a significant overnight increase in water flow damaged a recently restored section of the road.
As a result, traffic has been suspended, causing inconvenience to travelers and local residents.
Restoration teams are currently on-site, clearing debris and carrying out emergency repair work to restore connectivity at the earliest. Efforts are underway to reopen the road as soon as weather and site conditions permit.
Travelers are advised to postpone non-essential travel on this route and obtain the latest road updates before commencing their journey.
