Cristiano Ronaldo 1st player to score in 5 World Cups makes another world record

Ronaldo Record Score in 5 World Cup

Portugal gets their World Cup campaign off to a winning start, and only one man will grab all the headlines. Their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo makes World Cup history as he became the first player to score in five different World Cups.

After a goalless first half, the match sprang to life as Portugal and Ghana matched each other with continuous attacking waves. Eventually, it was Ronaldo who won his team the penalty.

The Portuguese superstar converted expertly as he has done many times before. This was Ronaldo’s 8th World Cup goal and 118th international goal in his illustrious career.

However, Ghana responded immediately through Andre Ayew. The 2016 European champions were not to be denied as they went ahead again through Joao Felix. Shortly after, they got a nerve-settler through their substitute, Rafael Leao.
