Fair and White Pakistani People

Pakistan is a diverse country. Most people in the western countries and United States think that Pakistanis look like Indians in general, but this is not correct. If you have visited Pakistan or met with Pakistanis you must have seen fair color, white, brown and black Pakistanis. The situation changes when you visit northern Pakistan which includes Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and northern Punjab. Here is the skin color complexities in Pakistan.

Sindhi

The native people of Sindh province of Pakistan are called Sindhis . Other ethnic groups living in Karachi and Hyderabad Sindh are :Baluch, Urdu speaking migrants from Central India and other migrants from Northern Pakistan. The skin color of Sindhis are usually brown and dark. Sindhis are Indo Aryan people.

Siraikis of South Punjab

The Siraiki speaking people of South Punjab are also dark and brown. They are also Indo Aryan.

Punjabi

Punjabis are mix of fair, dark and brown color. They live in central Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Faisalabad.

Hazara and Potohar Region

The natives of Rawalpindi and surrounding areas are called Potohari, they are also Indo Aryan people. Their color ranges from fair to brown and dark. Hindku speaking people of Hazara are also fair and brown.

Pashtun

Pashtuns are white because they genetically belongs to Indo Iranian group. Most Pashtuns are generally fair and white , but some Pashtuns are brown like middle eastern people. Pashtun people lives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Baluchistan in north western border of Pakistan. Some Pasthuns have blonde hair with blue eyes. Pasthtun people are also the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan.

Baluch

Baluch are dark and fair. They looks like middle eastern people. Some Baluch are black like Makranis. Baluch people are also Indo Iranian. Kurds are considered closer to Baluch people.

Chitralis and Kalasha

Chitralis are generally fair and white . Among these Kalasha people are pure white people. They are sometimes considered descendants of Alexander the Great army. They classified as Indo Aryan. They looks like Greek people with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Balti

Balti people are Sino Tibetan people. Balti people lives in Baltistan region of Gilgit Baltistan. Baltis are fair and white. Baltis have features of Indo Aryan and Tibetan. They live in between the lush green valleys between Karakoram and Himalays in Gilgit Baltistan.

Hunza

Hunzais have fair and white skin color. They are called Hunzakutz ,an isolated ethnic group, living in the Hunza valley of Gilgit Baltistan. They are unclassified indigenous people. They are also called Burosho people.
