China’s top diplomat has cautioned that the stability of the Strait of Hormuz is inextricably linked to the ongoing Iran conflict, with the waterway unlikely to achieve stability as long as hostilities persist. According to reports, Foreign Minister Wang Yi made these remarks during a phone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, in which he also urged an immediate halt to the fighting.
