Israel Withdraws Spain from Ceasefire Coordination Forum

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken the decision to withdraw Spain from the Civil Military Coordination Centre in Kiryat Gat, a joint initiative established under the framework of US President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan, which served as the foundation for the Gaza ceasefire. This move follows Spain’s persistent criticism of Israel’s actions, including its military campaign against Iran, policies in Gaza and the West Bank, and its military intervention in Lebanon.

Netanyahu’s comments reflect his stance on the matter, stating that Israel will not tolerate attacks on its reputation. He accused Spain of defaming Israel’s military personnel, describing the IDF as the “most moral army in the world.” The Prime Minister emphasized that Spain’s repeated opposition to Israel’s policies has led to his decision to remove Spain’s representatives from the coordination centre.
