In a significant development ahead of the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP) candidate Eiman Shah has announced his withdrawal from the electoral contest in GBA-6 Hunza and declared his support for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Shah Saleem Khan.
The announcement was made during a press conference held in Hunza on Friday, where Eiman Shah said he had decided to step down from the race in the broader interest of the constituency and to support a candidate he believes can effectively represent the people of Hunza.
Addressing journalists, Shah urged his supporters and party workers to back Shah Saleem Khan in the upcoming election, expressing confidence in his leadership and vision for the region.
