Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Chairs Meeting to Review Security of Refineries and Oil Storage Facilities Across Pakistan

Islamabad – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a high‑level meeting to assess security arrangements at refineries and oil storage installations nationwide. The session, attended by the IT Minister, Finance Minister, secretaries of Petroleum and Interior, and senior officials, included a briefing that confirmed coordinated security actions with all stakeholders and oil marketing companies, with additional security costs to be borne by the marketers. Dar expressed satisfaction with the current security framework. The government reaffirmed its commitment to protect critical energy infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted fuel supply across the country. The meeting also reviewed the status of petroleum, oil, and lubricants reserves. The Petroleum Ministry reported ample stocks to guarantee continuous supply of petroleum products until the third week of June 2026, with daily monitoring by the National Coordination and Management Committee to maintain effective oversight and proactive supply‑chain management.
