Gambir Sargodha (City Reporter) – Government Girls Inter College Gambir Sargodha organized a dignified awareness session on the harms of drugs, prevention strategies, extremism, and proper use of social media, attended by a large number of students and teachers. The session featured speeches by Principal Dr. Nilofar Khan, lecturers Muhammad Nazir, Ajmal Hussain, Zahid, and students Sughra Batool, Alia Batool, Naima, and Kausar. Lecturer Ajmal Hussain highlighted the rapid spread of drug addiction among the youth and stressed the urgent need for prevention, urging students to stay away from this scourge and channel their abilities into positive activities. Lecturer Zahid warned that using intoxicants for temporary peace darkens the bright future of young people, calling for conscious and responsible decision‑making. Lecturer Muhammad Nazir emphasized that such awareness programs in educational institutions are a critical need of the time, playing a key role in informing students about the dangers of negative influences. Concluding the session, Principal Dr. Nilofar Khan stated that the youth are a valuable asset of any nation and that avoiding drugs, extremism, and misuse of social media is a shared responsibility. She encouraged students to focus on education, engage in positive activities, and become dignified, responsible citizens. The meeting ended with a commitment to continue similar awareness programs in the future to keep students promptly informed about prevailing social issues.
