Sakardu Faces Diluted Spring Water; Permanent Sedimentation Tank Solution Under Review

Following complaints of diluted drinking water in Sakardu (P.R.) Diguol, the Balochistan Regional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner ordered a detailed PHED team inspection. Executive Engineer Ashraf Hussain, SDO Irfan, and Sub Engineer Maqbool, along with field staff, examined springs, tanks, and chambers. SDO Irfan briefed that no technical fault exists in the PHED system; seasonal conditions are naturally causing the spring water to become diluted, which then reaches homes via supply lines. He proposed constructing a **sedimentation tank** to filter and deliver clean water permanently. The Executive Engineer instructed the SDO and Sub Engineer to complete the project paperwork promptly to ensure future supply of safe drinking water. PHED officials urged residents to store water temporarily, boil it before consumption, and take precautions to avoid health issues.
