Hajj Arrangements Review Meeting Directs Full Attention to Pilgrims’ Facilities

A review meeting on Hajj arrangements was chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf. The session provided a detailed briefing on pilgrim facilities, medical assistance, accommodation and other administrative matters. Secretary of Religious Affairs Ibrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bashir Sanghi and, via video link from Mecca, Chief Coordinator Dr. Mirza Ali Mahsood, Coordinator Zulfiqar Khan and Hajj Directors for Mecca and Medina also participated. The Federal Minister instructed that every aspect of pilgrim comfort and facilities be fully ensured, and that the Hajj service staff remain prompt in addressing complaints. He also emphasized that pilgrims must obey Saudi laws and uphold national dignity during their stay. The briefing noted that by Tuesday, 28 April, more than 20,000 official pilgrims had arrived in Medina, all of whom have received their Nusk cards, and over 11,000 pilgrims have completed the visit to the Riyadh al‑Jannah site. Colonel Dr. Tauqeer, head of the Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission, informed the meeting that one hospital and three dispensaries are operating in Medina, while five dispensaries have been set up in Mecca according to pilgrim numbers. He confirmed that the shipment of medicines from Pakistan has been completed. According to the Hajj Director for Mecca, five bus bays have been allocated for Haram transportation to streamline and facilitate pilgrim movement. The meeting expressed overall satisfaction with the Hajj arrangements and reiterated the directive to provide every possible convenience to the pilgrims.
