Islamabad United vs Hyderabad Kings: Traffic Management Plan Unveiled for Gaddafi Stadium Match

Lahore City Traffic Police have devised a comprehensive traffic management strategy for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 match between Islamabad United and Hyderabad Kings, set to take place on Friday at Gaddafi Stadium. Lahore’s Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi revealed that approximately 600 traffic wardens will be deployed to maintain a smooth flow of traffic and facilitate cricket enthusiasts. Shirazi emphasized that stringent measures will be enforced against unauthorized parking, with 11 forklifts and three breakdown vehicles on standby throughout the event. To facilitate spectators, the CTO has outlined a detailed parking plan, directing visitors from Defence areas to park at CBD parking via Firdous Market and Center Point, while those arriving via Ferozepur Road will take a turn from Kalma Chowk and park at Government College Gulberg via National Park. Similarly, citizens from Defence and Cantt areas will utilize Liberty Parking via Hussain Chowk or Sherpao Bridge through Main Boulevard Gulberg. Visitors from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu will be directed to park at Sunfort Hotel Liberty parking via Main Boulevard Gulberg. Shirazi assured that no road will be permanently closed during the match, and major arteries including Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road, and Main Boulevard Gulberg will remain open for traffic. He urged citizens to refrain from illegal parking and utilize designated parking areas only, adding that real-time traffic updates will be provided through the Rasta App and Rasta FM 88.6.
