Prime Minister and Field Marshal Attend Funeral Prayer of Martyr Lt. Colonel Khalid Hussain

The funeral prayer for martyr Lt. Colonel Khalid Hussain was held at the Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi, attended by the Prime Minister, the Field Marshal, and senior military leadership. According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt. Colonel Khalid Hussain was wounded while leading his troops in an intelligence‑based operation against Indian‑backed terrorists in Balochistan yesterday and later succumbed to his injuries. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, federal ministers for Interior and Information, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, senior civil and military officials, retired officers, the martyr’s family, and a large number of citizens. During the event, the Prime Minister praised Lt. Colonel Khalid Hussain’s extraordinary bravery, sense of duty, and service to the nation, describing his sacrifice as a powerful tribute. He reaffirmed the armed forces’ resolve, with full public support, to eradicate terrorism sponsored by India and its facilitators. The Prime Minister added that the great sacrifices of martyrs strengthen national resolve and reflect Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and sovereignty. ISPR announced that Lt. Colonel Khalid Hussain will be laid to rest with full military honors in his native area. The armed forces and the nation paid their respects to the martyr and expressed heartfelt condolences to his grieving family.
