PSL 11’s Top Performer Earns Coveted Title

Sufiyan Muqeem, the left-arm spinner from Peshawar Zalmi, has been crowned Player of the Tournament for PSL 11 following an impressive display of bowling prowess. With an impressive haul of 22 wickets in 11 matches, Muqeem emerged as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, boasting an economy rate of 7.20, an average of 14.40, and a strike rate of 12. His standout performance also earned him the Fazal Mahmood cap and the Bowler of the Tournament award. Meanwhile, Zalmi captain Babar Azam had a remarkable season, securing the Hanif Mohammad cap as the leading run-scorer with 588 runs in 11 matches at an average of 73.50 and a strike rate of 145.90. Despite being dismissed for a duck in the final, Azam’s campaign included three half-centuries and three hundreds, cementing his status as the Batter of the Tournament. Peshawar Zalmi also claimed two additional individual honors, with Kusal Mendis being named Wicketkeeper of the Tournament after scoring 550 runs and taking two catches, and Farhan Yousuf receiving the Fielder of the Tournament award for his 10 catches across the competition. The only individual award outside of Zalmi’s camp went to Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan, who was named All-Rounder of the Tournament for his 173 runs and 17 wickets.
