The Kingsmen overcame a daunting 214-run target with three balls to spare, largely thanks to Usman’s exceptional batting and a late flourish from Hassan Khan. Hyderabad’s chase began on shaky ground, with Maaz Sadaqat departing for just 13 runs, followed by Saim Ayub and Kusal Perera, who fell for a golden duck, leaving the Kingsmen reeling at 48/3. However, Usman’s arrival at the crease marked a significant turning point in the match. Batting at No. 5, he launched a fierce counterattack, sharing a crucial 123-run stand with captain Marnus Labuschagne. Both batters reached their half-centuries during the partnership, with Labuschagne providing a stabilizing influence before falling for 61 off 41 balls, hitting nine fours. Usman continued to dominate, reaching his century at the end of the 17th over and eventually scoring a blistering 101 off 47 deliveries, including 10 sixes and five fours. Multan’s hopes of a comeback were briefly revived when Peter Siddle dismissed both Glenn Maxwell and Usman in the 18th over, but the Kingsmen maintained their composure. Requiring 26 from the final two overs, Hassan Khan struck a rapid 24 to seal the win. For Multan, Siddle and Ismail picked up three wickets each. Earlier, Multan Sultans posted a formidable 213/7 after being asked to bat first, with Smith and Farhan laying the foundation through a dominant 132-run opening stand. Farhan scored 66 off 43 balls, while Smith stole the show with a brilliant 106 off 50 deliveries, smashing 12 fours and six sixes. His century was a highlight of the innings, coming in spectacular fashion during a 28-run over off Hunain Shah. Multan looked poised for an even bigger total, but Hyderabad pulled things back late by taking four wickets in the last two overs. For the Kingsmen, Akif Javed was the standout bowler with 3/30, while Mohammad Ali, Glenn Maxwell, Hassan Khan, and Hunain Shah took one wicket each.
