Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur has published a list of names of those killed and injured by Afghan Taliban gunfire on the district’s civilian population. According to the list, the Taliban’s attack in Bajaur resulted in nine fatalities, including three women and six innocent children. During March and April 2026, mortar shells were fired from Afghanistan into various border areas of Bajaur, especially Mamund and Salarzai. The Deputy Commissioner’s release of the full names leaves no doubt about the human and financial losses caused by the Taliban’s fire in Bajaur. Photographs taken by local residents of the women and children after each incident are already available.
