According to three Lebanese sources with ties to the group, Hezbollah has indeed adhered to the recently implemented two-week ceasefire, even as Israel persists in its military operations against Lebanon. The militant organization has ceased its attacks on northern Israel and Israeli forces in Lebanon, effective from the early hours of Wednesday, as part of the US-Iran brokered truce. Meanwhile, Israel has continued its aerial assaults on southern Lebanon and issued a fresh evacuation order for one key city in the region, signaling its intention to launch further strikes in the near future. This development comes on the heels of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement that the two-week ceasefire agreed upon by the US and Iran would not extend to Lebanon.
