The diesel‑laden Pakistani vessel entered the Strait of Hormuz and then turned back. Shipping sources say the ship altered its course because Iran closed the Hormuz Strait, but the Pakistani ship is likely to be rerouted soon. According to the sources, the Khairpur ship was transporting millions of liters of diesel from Kuwait to Karachi. Yesterday, a Pakistani‑flagged oil tanker successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz; it was the first vessel to exit Hormuz with raw materials after the U.S. blockade. However, today the United States has not lifted its blockade of Iranian ports, and Iran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz.
