Eastern Lebanon Bridge Reduced to Rubble in Israeli Aerial Assault

A strategic bridge in eastern Lebanon was left in ruins after Israeli warplanes launched a precision strike, following a warning from Israel’s military that it would target two nearby bridges to prevent the movement of reinforcements and military supplies.

According to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency, the bridge connecting Sohmor and Mashghara was severely damaged by Israeli airstrikes, rendering it impassable. The Israeli military had previously issued a public warning, specifying that the Sohmor and Mashghara bridges would be targeted in order to impede the transfer of military equipment and reinforcements. A map was released, pinpointing the exact locations of the two bridges, which are situated approximately 100 metres apart.
