Islamabad United dominated the defending champions Lahore Qalandars by a resounding nine-wicket margin in a one-sided 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) match held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The match marked Islamabad’s third victory in the tournament, with the team cruising to the target of 101 runs in just 11 overs. Devon Conway’s unbeaten half-century was the highlight of the chase, as he led the charge with a 59-run knock off 35 deliveries, featuring seven fours and three sixes. Conway’s partnership with Mohammad Faiq was instrumental in wrapping up the match, with the latter remaining unbeaten on 34 off 19 deliveries, including six boundaries. Islamabad’s early loss of Sameer Minhas to Shaheen Afridi in the third over was a brief blip, as the team quickly regained control and never looked back. In contrast, Lahore Qalandars struggled to recover from a disastrous start, being bowled out for just 100 runs in 18.3 overs. Imad Wasim set the tone with a double strike, dismissing Mohammad Naeem and Abdullah Shafique, and was followed by key breakthroughs from Chris Green, Shadab Khan, and Richard Gleeson. Green took 3 for 19 in four overs, while Imad, Shadab, and Gleeson claimed two wickets each, as Islamabad’s spinners tightened the screws on Lahore’s batting lineup. The emphatic win gave Islamabad a significant boost in the PSL 11 standings, while Lahore were left to ponder a batting collapse that never allowed them to mount a genuine challenge.
