Japanese LNG Vessel Makes Historic Passage Through Strait of Hormuz

Mitsui OSK Lines announced on Friday that a Japanese liquefied natural gas tanker, flying the flag of Panama, successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz, marking a significant milestone for the industry.
This notable achievement comes after a period of heightened tensions, as the vessel became the first Japanese vessel to transit the strait since the outbreak of conflict.
According to a company representative, who spoke with Reuters, the vessel completed its journey without incident, although the specifics of the security arrangements were not disclosed.
