According to UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, Lebanon’s displaced population has swelled to over 1.1 million individuals, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the nation’s total population. Among those affected, approximately 137,000 are currently residing in shelters, as Dujarric revealed during a press briefing on Monday. The majority of displaced individuals, however, are scattered across host communities and informal settings, where they often face significant barriers to accessing essential services.
