Lebanon Under Siege: WHO Warns of Hospital Crisis Amid Ongoing Israeli Strikes

Israeli aerial bombardments persisted into the night, targeting various regions in southern Lebanon, including Sidon and Nabatieh, as well as a car struck by a drone. Meanwhile, a surveillance drone remained airborne over Beirut for an extended period, prompting the Israeli military to issue a fresh evacuation order for the southern suburbs, now encompassing the Jnah district. This area, which has been a refuge for thousands of displaced individuals, is also home to two critical hospitals. The World Health Organization has sounded the alarm, highlighting the dire situation at these hospitals, which are operating at maximum capacity. With 450 patients in need of urgent care and no alternative facilities available, the hospitals are struggling to cope with the influx of patients, many of whom were injured in the Israeli strikes that ravaged Lebanon on Wednesday, leaving over 1,000 people injured and an unknown number of fatalities still to be accounted for.
