Largely overlooked in the international community’s response to Israeli aggression in Lebanon has been the issue of accountability for the atrocities committed against Lebanese civilians. This oversight can be attributed in part to the Lebanese government’s failure to fully explore the options available to them under international law, specifically the possibility of seeking justice through the International Criminal Court.
