Muzafarabad: Major FBR Operation Seizes Smuggled Goods Worth 205 Million Rupees

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) conducted a large‑scale operation in Muzafarabad, confiscating smuggled merchandise valued at 204.9 million rupees. According to the FBR statement, ASO Multan’s team seized 2,700 kg of cigarette‑filter foam from a truck, estimated at 175.5 million rupees. Additionally, on the Sher Shah Motorway, customs officials intercepted a container carrying foreign cigarettes and poppy seeds, seizing 135 cartons of cigarettes and 505 bags of poppy seeds, also worth several million rupees.
