Pakistan’s Gas Crisis Deepens as Power and Fertilizer Sectors Face Lowest Supply Levels

Pakistan’s gas crisis has intensified after LNG shipments stopped, with the shortfall exceeding 600 million cubic feet and gas supply to the power and fertilizer sectors falling to the lowest level. Household consumers are also experiencing reduced gas deliveries. According to sources in Sui Northern, gas supply has dropped to only 700 million cubic feet, compared with the pre‑war level of 1,200 million cubic feet per day from Iran. Sui gas officials say that gas is being provided throughout all three daily meals. Meanwhile, crude oil prices continue to rise, with Brent crude trading at $111.2 per barrel and U.S. WTI crude at $99.78 per barrel on the global market.
