Prime Minister Meets Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam to Discuss Peace Efforts

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Reza Amiri Moghaddam. According to a statement released on the social networking site X, the meeting covered the current regional situation and ongoing peace initiatives. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Prime Minister’s special assistant Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Secretary also attended the discussion. Pakistan has intensified diplomatic efforts to launch a second round of talks between the United States and Iran. Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media that, at the request of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Field Marshal Asim Munir, they are working to prevent an attack on Iran.
