Saudi-Pakistani Diplomatic Ties Strengthened Through Late-Night Dialogue

In a recent phone call, Pakistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister engaged in a detailed discussion with his Saudi counterpart regarding the ongoing efforts to foster dialogue and diplomatic cooperation in the region.
According to a statement released by Pakistan’s foreign ministry, the two officials exchanged information on the latest developments in Pakistan’s pursuit of peace and stability in the region, with a focus on promoting dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
This diplomatic initiative comes on the heels of a last-minute appeal by Pakistan’s Prime Minister, who urged US President Trump to extend the deadline for an Iran deal by two weeks, citing the need for more time to reach a comprehensive agreement.
The Prime Minister also called upon Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as a gesture of goodwill, emphasizing that the ongoing diplomatic efforts are making steady progress and should be allowed to reach a conclusive outcome.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister held a conversation with the Saudi Crown Prince, expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia following an Iranian attack on petrochemical plants in the eastern part of the country. The attack was a retaliatory measure taken by Iran after its own oil fields were targeted by the US the previous day.
