Singapore Hosts Australian Leader for Crucial Fuel Security Talks

Albanese will engage in high-level talks with Singaporean leader Lawrence Wong on Friday, following a tour of Jurong Island, where Singapore’s major oil refining facilities are situated. The Australian Prime Minister emphasized the mutual benefits of strengthened cooperation between the two nations, stating, “It is in both our countries’ interests to collaborate and ensure that we are reliable suppliers.” This sentiment comes as Australia grapples with fuel shortages, with a recent report revealing that 3 percent of service stations across the country have run out of diesel.
