According to Mehr news agency, a residential building in central Tehran was the focal point of a recent military operation, with a nearby synagogue also suffering significant damage.
The aftermath of the strike revealed substantial damage to adjacent buildings due to the confined nature of the surrounding streets.
No immediate reports of casualties were available.
A Press TV video captured the extent of the destruction as rescue teams combed through the rubble.
Historically, Jewish communities have thrived in Iran for millennia, with an estimated 20,000 Jews still residing in the country, as documented by the Minority Rights Group. Furthermore, one seat in the Iranian parliament is allocated for a Jewish representative.
