US Products Face Omani Official’s Sanctions Call

Ishaq bin Salim al-Siabi, a former high-ranking member of Oman’s Shura Council, has launched a scathing attack on the US, labeling its actions in negotiations a “betrayal” of trust. Al Siabi, who posted his statement on X, accused the US government of unleashing “overt, hateful, and unjust aggression” against innocent civilians who yearn for a life of dignity, honor, and peace. He further emphasized that there are now compelling reasons to impose sanctions on all American products. Oman’s history as a mediator between the US and Iran, particularly during the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, has been marked by a mix of success and failure in its subsequent attempts to broker peace.
