Workers Still Deprived of Basic Rights, Muhammad Ali Malik

Gilgit (P.R.) – Chairman of the International Human Rights Movement Gilgit‑Baltistan, Muhammad Ali Malik, stated that workers form the backbone of any nation’s economy and that progress and prosperity are impossible without them. He warned that, unfortunately, many workers today still lack basic rights such as fair wages, safe working conditions, and social protection. Malik urged the government to implement effective, practical measures to safeguard labor rights, enforce labor laws strictly, and take immediate action to resolve workers’ issues. He emphasized that securing the legitimate rights of the labor class is a shared responsibility. Malik added that Labor Day reminds us that rights are never gained without struggle, and we must stand with workers and highlight their concerns. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue the fight for workers’ rights and welfare. On Labor Day, rallies, seminars, and events will be organized in various cities to discuss workers’ issues, rights, and solutions in detail. The core message is that a strong, prosperous, and developed society is possible only when workers receive their due rights, respect, and protection.
