Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali said that efforts to secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are ongoing and have been intensified. Speaking to media in Rawalpindi, he noted that Bushra Bibi’s health is poor, urging her swift release and better medical care. After her recent surgery, she met her family, but he recommended transferring her to a hospital until full recovery. He also demanded that the PTI founder’s family and lawyers be allowed to meet him. On political matters, Gohar stated that Mahmood Khan Achakzai has been given key responsibilities by the PTI leadership and the party will follow his decisions; any grievances he has should be addressed. He did not comment on Achakzai’s absence from the Mardan rally. Gohar mentioned a meeting with Saheel Afridi, though details cannot be disclosed now, and confirmed that, per Islamabad High Court orders, they visit Adiala Jail every Tuesday. Commenting on international and domestic affairs, he praised Pakistan’s diplomatic successes, noting that only opponents are displeased, and expressed hope that visits by global leaders will promote peace and stability in the region. He concluded by saying his wish is for Pakistan’s development and greater global respect.
