Iranian Ambassador Praises Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal’s Role in Ending the War

Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Raza Amiri Muqaddam, described the contributions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir in bringing the war to a close as commendable. During Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s visit to Pakistan, Ambassador Amiri Muqaddam thanked the Pakistani government, the Pakistan Armed Forces, and the people of Pakistan. In a statement released on X, the ambassador lauded the peace initiatives led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, noting that the Iranian delegation’s visit was conducted with full security, effective planning, and excellent arrangements, and praising the performance of Pakistani institutions. He extended special gratitude to the Pakistan Army, security forces, police, and civil officials, and honored the hospitality, patience, and cooperation of the people of Islamabad. The ambassador also called Pakistan a brother, friend, and neighboring country, reaffirming Iran’s commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations.
