PTI internal rift leads to resignation of provincial joint secretary

PTI’s internal differences in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have intensified, prompting the provincial joint secretary to resign. Engineer Khaysta Muhammad stepped down from his party post after a clash with the provincial president. He said the party is currently operating under a dictatorial atmosphere, with major decisions being made without cabinet confidence. He added that the cabinet is being ignored in party policy and organizational matters, and that the party president issued a notification for Malakand region officials without consulting the cabinet. Engineer Khaysta Muhammad argued that if all decisions are made by a single individual, the cabinet’s existence becomes unjustified. He noted that, according to PTI founder’s ideology, authority should rest with the entire cabinet, not one person. He also claimed that no serious efforts are visible for the release of PTI founder, who has been unjustly imprisoned for nearly three years, while the leadership remains silent. He concluded that the party leadership lacks a clear strategy for the founder’s release and that decisions are being taken by a single individual, leading to his resignation.
