Meteorological Department Issues 24‑Hour Weather Forecast

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for the next 24 hours. According to the report, most regions of the country will experience hot and dry conditions, while the southern areas are expected to remain extremely hot. In upper Khyber‑Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit‑Baltistan, Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, the Pothohar region and surrounding areas, a few locations may see strong winds, thunderstorms and rain. The department also notes that isolated snowfall could occur in parts of Kashmir, the Pothohar region and northeastern Punjab. Earlier today, most of the country was hot and dry, with severe heat in the south; Gilgit‑Baltistan and upper Punjab recorded light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder. The highest rainfall was recorded in Hunza 03 mm, Mianwali 02 mm and Jauharabad 01 mm. Yesterday, maximum temperatures of 46 °C were observed in Sargodha, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Pind Iden and Hyderabad.
