Gilgit (PR) – Secretary of Excise & Taxation, Zakat & Ushr, Cooperatives, Narcotics Control and Transport Gilgit‑Baltistan, Sanaullah, received a detailed briefing on departmental affairs. The session highlighted the overall performance of the Excise & Taxation Department, vehicle registration processes, the token tax system, and ongoing digitalization initiatives. It also covered the current drug‑prevention strategy, various development projects, and the status of cooperative societies across Gilgit‑Baltistan. Senior officials presented in‑depth updates on their sectors’ performance, challenges, and future action plans, prompting the Secretary to express satisfaction and issue directives for further improvement. Attendees included Deputy Secretary Excise & Taxation Sher Afzal, Deputy Secretary Administration Gohar Shah, Director Excise & Taxation Gilgit‑Baltistan Abu Bakr Siddiq Khan, Deputy Director Transport Muazzam Ali Ahmed, Deputy Director Gilgit Division Mir Intikhab‑ul‑Haq, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Muhammad Amin, IT Manager Zubair Ahmed, Legal Advisor Imran Ali, Section Officer Khalid Akbar, Sajid Baber and other officials. The meeting stressed that all departments must enhance performance, digitize systems to meet modern requirements, and implement effective measures to provide maximum services to the public.
