Skardu (P R) – Deputy Commissioner Skardu Hamza Murad met with the guardian president and cabinet members of the Skardu Traders Association. The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the newly elected guardian president and cabinet and pledged full cooperation to resolve the traders’ community’s issues. During the meeting, the president and members outlined their problems and concerns and presented various suggestions for solutions. After mutual consultation, key decisions were taken: shopkeepers and bankers will park their vehicles in parking spaces allocated by the district administration to ease city traffic, and truck movements will be limited to designated hours to reduce congestion in the main market and other commercial areas, ensuring smooth traffic flow and uninterrupted business activities. The municipal magistrate and the traffic police in charge, together with the Skardu Traders Association, will ensure implementation of these measures. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that no injustice will be done to truck operators and all decisions will be enforced through joint consultation. At the close of the meeting, both the district administration of Skarod and the Skardu Traders Association reaffirmed their commitment to continue collaborative efforts to address the traders’ community’s challenges.
