Saudi Arabia to Host First-Ever T20 Cricket League, Says Cricket Website

According to a leading cricket website, Saudi Arabia will host a T20 league for the first time. The site reports that the Devens League T20 is expected to feature retired players, with international retired stars active in the franchise circuit. The Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation has approved the tournament, and recently retired cricketers are set to take part. The league, comprising six teams, is likely to be staged in October, with matches scheduled in Taif. Up to four players who have represented full‑member nations within the past two years are expected to join, and participants could earn compensation of up to $100,000 each.
