Sakardo (Chief Reporter) – Kharamang provincial assembly candidate Dr. Shujaat Mehmood said the biggest problem in Kharamang is the PCF. The lack of PCF approval is creating major difficulties; buildings exist but remain unused because no appointments have been made under the PCF. Speaking to Daily Two, he claimed that no representative has truly worked for Kharamang’s construction and development, which forced him to contest the election. He said that if other representatives had already performed, he would not have needed to enter politics. He left a high‑paying job to serve the public, stating that the poor people of his constituency are being left out. He noted that Iqbal Hassan and Amjad Zaidy claim to have allocated 13‑14 billion rupees of ADP to Kharamang, yet despite the 14 billion rupees spent, the public remains trapped in a swamp of problems. We have the right to ask where the 14 billion rupees went. He said he had a pleasant meeting with the leadership of the Islamic Movement, but the matters are not yet finalized. He will join the Islamic Movement to contest the election, a point he has also raised with its leadership. He added that anyone entering politics or journalism should meet a minimum standard; a minimum MA degree should be required for politics, while other fields have stricter criteria. Yet political entrants are free from such restrictions. He warned that this issue must be examined soon, otherwise the political arena will become corrupt. He noted that his constituency has over 4,000 personal voters, while other candidates have only 2,000‑2,500 voters. After joining the Islamic Movement, he plans to withdraw the PML‑N candidate Syed Mohsin Rizvi from Kharamang in his favor. He is not relying on any party’s umbrella to step aside for anyone else. He concluded that his preparations are complete, and he is confident of a bright victory. This time there are no obstacles; the people of Kharamang want change.
