41 Lebanese Communities Face Displacement Under Israel’s New Security Perimeter

Israeli authorities have issued ultimatums to residents of 41 towns and villages in the Nabatieh district, situated north of the Litani River, where they aim to establish a security buffer zone. Those affected have been instructed to relocate north of the Zahrani River. Meanwhile, the city of Tyre has also been targeted with leaflet warnings, advising its approximately 25,000 inhabitants – comprising 12,500 original residents and 12,500 displaced individuals from other parts of south Lebanon – to prepare for forced evacuation.
