Japan to Strengthen Energy Security Ties with Indonesia

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has announced that her government will collaborate closely with Indonesia on energy security, following a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is in Tokyo for his inaugural official visit. The move comes as the US-Israel conflict in Iran disrupts oil and gas supplies from the Middle East. Prabowo had previously attended the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum, where $22.6 billion in business agreements were reached, including deals in the energy sector.
