Trump Proposes Action to Reopen Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump expressed optimism that the conflict with Iran could be resolved soon, stating that US forces were significantly weakening Iran’s capabilities and would not need to remain in the region for much longer.
In an interview with The New York Post, Trump noted that US forces were making significant progress in neutralizing Iran’s military capabilities. He emphasized that there was still work to be done to eliminate Iran’s remaining offensive capacity.
Trump also suggested that countries relying on the Strait of Hormuz could take steps to reopen it. He predicted that the Strait would reopen, saying that countries using the route would likely be motivated to do so, particularly those with a vested interest in the oil trade.
