Iranian Minister Reveals International Ships’ Voluntary Avoidance of Hormuz Strait

“Ships affiliated with nations not at war with Iran have made their own choice to bypass the strait due to security concerns, high insurance costs, or other factors”, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi explained to Al Jazeera.
“Some of these nations have reached out to negotiate with us, and for many of them, especially our allies, we have secured safe passage. You’ve likely seen reports of countries that have spoken with us and obtained guarantees for their safe passage.”
