Bahraini Diplomat Cautions Against Perpetual Restraint in Face of Iranian Aggression

Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani has cautioned that Gulf states cannot indefinitely maintain restraint in the face of Iranian aggression, emphasizing the need for a more assertive stance.
“The Gulf nations have thus far demonstrated remarkable self-control and tolerance in the face of persistent Iranian provocation, but it is unrealistic to expect this restraint to persist indefinitely,” the foreign minister noted.
“The international community cannot be expected to disregard our legitimate rights under international law by virtue of inaction, nor can we avoid accountability by turning a blind eye to Iranian aggression,” he added.
Iran has vowed to retaliate against Gulf infrastructure if Trump proceeds with his threat to launch a comprehensive strike on Iranian targets tonight.
