Beirut Blast Leaves Trail of Devastation in Residential Area

In the aftermath of a recent attack in southern Beirut’s Jnah district, a once-peaceful residential neighborhood now lies in ruins. Eyewitnesses describe the scene as chaotic, with widespread destruction evident throughout the area.
According to security sources, this latest assault appears to have been a deliberate attempt to target vehicles, marking a departure from previous attacks that focused on residential apartments.
While the exact number of vehicles targeted remains unclear, it is believed that multiple cars were struck, given the high volume of vehicles parked along the road due to the presence of a nearby school that has been converted into a temporary shelter for displaced individuals.
The Israeli military claims to have been aiming for a senior Hezbollah commander, although the group has yet to issue a statement in response to these allegations. Notably, Hezbollah has not publicly acknowledged any fatalities in recent times, with news of the deaths of several of its fighters emerging only through social media posts from their families.
In the wake of these developments, anxiety is running high in Lebanon following comments from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who stated that the Israeli army intends to dismantle all homes in Lebanese border villages. However, it is worth noting that many of these villages have already been reduced to rubble.
