French Nationals Freed in Iran as Part of Diplomatic Accord

According to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, the release of two French nationals from Iranian custody, who were serving time for alleged espionage, was facilitated by a mutually beneficial agreement between Tehran and Paris. Under the terms of this agreement, France had previously released an Iranian national held in France and also withdrew a complaint against Iran at the International Court of Justice.
